Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a powerful ERP solution for small-to-midsized businesses. Its tools allow manufacturers and other verticals to work more efficiently with their accounting, inventory, payroll and other important business practices. As a consequence, any new updates should only serve to help improve operations. Recently, Microsoft announced that its next edition for NAV, Dynamics NAV 2015, is already available to Partner Representatives from Directions 2014, including Dynamic Manufacturing Solutions. New customers will have access to this new software on October 1, while existing customers will be able to upgrade on October 6, NAV developer Vincent van Augt reported.
While companies may be wondering if Dynamics NAV 2015 is right for them, existing customers can take advantage of new updates to their Navison modules. According to ZDNet, Microsoft quietly released mobile versions of NAV apps on the iTunes Store for use on the iPad and iPhone. There are also versions available for Android and Windows 8. That can mean that companies’ mobile warehouse management options got a lot easier, while automatic data capture can now be done by smartphone. These new features will likely play a major role in the upcoming version as well.
