DocXtender is designed to work with the cloud version of Dynamics 365 Business Central. If you are using NAV or Business Central on-prem, please use NavXtender.
DocXtender uses the auto translation tools within Business Central, therefore, DocXtender™ supports all languages supported by Business Central.
DocXtender is easy to install. Simply visit Microsoft AppSource, search for “DocXtender” and install it from there. That’s it! After installation, to attach documents, you easily drag files onto your Business Central page.
DocXtender will accept all common document types including .pdf, .docx, xlsx, pptx, .html, .txt, .zip, .jpg, .png, .gif, and more. You can even drag email messages directly from Microsoft Outlook and store them as an .msg file within Business Central.
You can but it is more efficient to use DocXtender™. By attaching your documents to Business Central records, there is no need to access another application to view related documents. The documents are easily accessible, don’t get misfiled and others can access them.
Both DocXtender™ and NavXtender allow users to drag and drop documents. NavXtender works with the Windows Role Tailored Client whereas DocXtender™ works with the Business Central web application.
There is no limit to the number of documents that can be attached to a Business Central record.
