Edmonton, AB, January 18, 2017 – Insight Works, an Alberta, Canada-based subsidiary of DMS Companies and a leader in developing software solutions to improve operational productivity, has sponsored a Computer Engineering Technology program scholarship at Canada’s highly-respected polytechnic school, NAIT. Valued at $1,000 annually, the scholarship reflects Insight Works’ corporate support for education and good citizenship, as well as its commitment to such programs as NAIT’s Computer Engineering Technology curriculum, itself dedicated to producing job-ready graduates that are skilled in software development, digital/analog device interfacing, and digital/analog electronics.
NAIT’s CNT program scholarship is available to second-year students enrolled in the Computer Engineering Technology curriculum at the school and is awarded on the basis of academic achievement in the first year of the program as well as to students who demonstrate strong leadership aptitude through participation in school or community activities. Furthermore, preference may be given to those who have participated in extracurricular activities related to information systems technology or software development.
“Scholarships provided by donors like DMS Companies have a direct impact on our students,” explains Tina Taylor, NAIT’s Scholarships and Bursaries Coordinator. “This type of support provides students with the opportunity to achieve their career goals, and NAIT is so very thankful to have partners who believe in our students as much as we do.”
As leaders in Operational Productivity Improvement through the implementation of add-ons for Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP business systems, Insight Works boasts a wealth of expertise not only in the burgeoning Microsoft and IT technology sectors but in the areas of project execution and technology development as well. To this end, Insight Works’ President Mark Hamblin explains, “Supporting a scholarship for a Computer Engineering Technology program was the perfect fit for us, being that NAIT graduates are renowned for having a broad understanding of software and hardware technologies.
“From warehouse data collection and enhanced time collection to physical inventory count, Insight Works has focused efforts on helping manufacturing, warehousing and distribution companies get the most out systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP, and we’re thrilled to be involved with a like-minded organization such as the NAIT polytechnic school.”
